Salsa Chicken Verde in Crockpot



This is a great recipe to try and will be little clean up and effort on your part, unless you make the roasted salsa verde homemade, which is what I did.

1 1/2 lbs raw chicken tenders
1/4 t garlic powder
1/8 t oregano
1/8 t ground cumin
salt, to taste
16 oz roasted salsa verde (jarred or homemade)

1. Season chicken and place in the bottom of a slow cooker. Cover with salsa verde, cover and cook on high for 2 hours. Remove chicken, shred with 2 forks. Remove 2/3 C of liquid from the cooker and discard. Place chicken back in the cooker with remaining salsa. Serve or keep warm until ready to serve.
