Ever in need of a quick snack? These granola bars are so tasty and versatile! You can add whatever ingredients you want!
Granola Bars
1 1/2 cups Quick rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup veg oil
1/2 cup honey
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Combine oats, flour, sugar, chocolate, wheat germ & salt in a bowl. In another bowl, combine egg, oil, honey, & vanilla. Beat until smooth.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined. Dump into a greased 9x13 pan. Using a greased rubber spatula or wet spoon, spread into an even layer.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Cool pan on a wire rack & cut into bars.
Modifications: add 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter or 1 cup peanut butter chips, 1 cup cranberries, 1 cup chopped nuts, or instead of chocolate chips, use raisins & use 1/2 tsp cinnamon)
