Tuna Steaks

Let's just say tuna is a regular meal in the Peterson household. Whether it is in the form of a salad, out of the tuna pouch, or this tuna steak, we absolutely love it!! The best part about tuna steak is that it is fresh and you barely have to do anything to eat it!

I typically serve it with just a vegetable or two. In the above picture, we had grilled corn. You choose whatever you please! Lucky for me, we live right beside a fresh fish market! Take your pick and be ready for pure delight.

Tuna steak
course sea salt
pepper
olive oil (if using cast iron)

Set tuna steaks out 30-60 minutes before cooking. Sprinkle some course seat salt and freshly ground pepper on top. Heat up your grill or cast iron skillet (I actually prefer the cast iron) with about 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Let heat on medium-high heat for about 4 minutes. Throw the tuna steaks on the skillet and sear on both sides for about 2-3 minutes each. Only flip once.

The steak will be warm throughout with a nice pink center (yes...still raw..but this is how you must eat it!!).
Enjoy!
