Shredded Brussels Sprouts with BACON
SCORE!! This is THE way to make Brussels sprouts--with bacon!!
1 lb Brussels sprouts, shredded and thinly sliced
1/4 C shallots, chopped fine
4-5 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 t kosher salt
pinch of pepper
1. Cook the bacon until crisp. Set aside to cool. Use bacon grease to cook the sprouts.
2. Heat a deep skillet over medium heat. Add the shallots and cook, stirring, about 1 minute. Add the sprouts, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the sprouts are golden, about 5 minutes. Add bacon crumbles and cook until Brussels sprouts wilt and reach the desired tenderness.
