Plum Tarts
These babies make for a beautiful photoshoot, don't you think? Perfect for your instagram! I had plums on hand, which I bought randomly, never even trying plums, and boy they are mighty good.
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed according to directions
1 lb red plums, apricots, or peaches, pitted, and cut into 1/2'' wedges
1/4 C sugar
freshly ground black pepper
1 T honey
flaky sea salt
optional course sugar
Preheat oven to 425. Cut pastry into 6 squares and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Prick them with a fork and then top with plums, leaving a 1/2'' border. (note to self: I want to try putting course sugar along the edges next time I make these.) Sprinkle with sugar, a few grinds of pepper and bake in the oven 25 to 30 minutes. Rotate the pan halfway through baking. Drizzle wit honey and sprinkle with salt just before serving.
